2-time Olympic Gold medalist and he's only 23. I think he could equal Lazlo Papp's 3 Olympic Gold Medals if he keeps up the hard work.
Hopefully he can finagle himself off the island and get a promoter. Even better, the Cuban government stops being backward commies and let these guys just leave the Island like free human beings to pursue their careers
Back in the day, a friend of mine who is in the olympic team of my country, was training in cuba and i had the chance to talk with Robeisy trough my friend's phone. It resulted that we have birthdays the same day. Regarding boxing itself, Robeisy is a beast, 2 time olympic champion at 22 and he beat the toughest competition in both games, also beat them in their own game, btw, he already said that he wants another medal, so he isn't turning pro, not before 2020 at least.
terrible decision imo, surprised at it, he was robbed blatantly in two qualifiers before the games, surely he knows nothing is guaranteed no matter if your the best or not, 4 years is too big a risk to waste!
