Due to the interest in the greatest Asian fighter. Does anyone have an opinion on this at fly, bantam or both? The fight is over 15 rounds.
Due to the opinion that pac was pre peak, although Harada probably was at flyweight himself, he was 19 when he won the title. I'll throw in featherweight as well.

Pacman wasnt even a quarter of what he is now when he fought at those weights.

Harada wins. That would be peak Harada vs far pre-peak Pacquaio. No question that Harada was better at the small weights.

at any of those 2 weights, harada takes it. he matched pacman's power and speed. it wouldn't be easy for harada, but he also had a patience to him and knew when to attack. he also had a certain finesse about him. manny was more hyper and of a pressure type, but harada would probably stop him on cuts or decision.

At least people are being reasonable. I expect johnco (a.k.a. harrison) to jump in any minute proclaiming that Pac (the same one who was being schooled by Sasakul and was destroyed by guys like Torrecampo and Singsurat) would've KO'd any Flyweight. It wouldn't have even been competitive at Flyweight, where Harada was an all time great and Pacquiao was a young, weight-drained kid.

Pacquiao was FAR from his prime at Flyweight, not to mention was terribly weight-drained and weak, which is why he skipped over 115 and 118 altogether. I'd pick Harada over him clearly up to 122, where Pacquiao was more comfortable, but had yet to hit his prime skill-wise. At Featherweight it gets tricker, as Pac was more suited to the weight than Harada but still not what he is today in terms of overall skills, while Harada showed against one of the best FW's of the era in Famechon that he still had it (albeit in that one final great performance). Would've been very interesting to see the Pac from the Barrera fight against the Harada from the Famechon fight.

Obviously anything above FW is Pac's domain.

Harada wasn't the greatest Asian fighter prior to Pacquiao.. I would rate Pancho Villa and Gabriel Flash Elorde above him. Elorde has wins againts greats like Saddler and got cheated in a rematch due to dirty tactics.

There's little argument for either fighter ranking above Harada. Villa's main clame to fame is his win over a past prime Jimmy Wilde (though he did a bit more than that) whereas Elorde's win over a past prime Sandy Saddler is his primary achievement (although he was a very consistent 130 pou8nd champ at his best). Villa was clearly an amazing talent but wasn't able to fulfill his promise, and Elorde was one of the best fighters of the lower weights at the time, but neither fighter can match Harada's accomplishments, nor was either fighter better in their peak IMO.

Elorde ruled his division for 7 years and was Roberto Duran's inspiration...

what is funny are those people who are always picking against pac in actual fights. in fantasy matchups pac's record here in ESB is 0-48.
