Edwards looking quite a bit fitter too. Still hits like a mule.

Yep. He's still fairly young, if he starts racking up wins and gets a good promoter behind him he can maybe achieve similar success to someone like Lucas Browne. Not saying he'll be a world beater, but with the right fights/hard work dedication I could see him maybe cracking the top 50 and landing a few big fights.

someone of his experience could have picked a more appropriate opponent.

hope fully he steps up in grade next.

He may have experience in the kickboxing world, but going into that fight he only had 4 professional boxing matches. Who do you expect him to fight? He needs to fight softies for a while, get a feel for things. I'm hoping he makes a full time transition next year.

no he doesn't. he is experienced enough to step up somewhat at least. he would have gained more from hitting a bag imo.

Yeah he would go alright domestically, he would probably KO the likes of Haumono.

I like Ben Edwards, can def bang, hope he continues with boxing, the other one I like from muay thai is Shannon King.... Moxon could give most domestically however dont see him coming across to boxing full time.

Edwards hadn't set foot in a boxing ring for years. I hear he makes much more money fighting other styles.

Edwards is probably more suited for boxing than k-1, like I said he could probably achieve some nice things domestically and maybe get some good pay days if he works hard. I'd like to see guys like Ghita, and Saki try their hand at boxing, both could do fairly well.

Havnt seen Ghita but I know Saki is an absolute animal with nice hands, seen what he did to Nathan Corbetts ear earlier this year. Havnt seen enough to comment fully in how far he could go if he crossed to boxing...

(Fighters I mentioned previous I meant on the Aust domestic sceen)

Ben Edwards is fighting Hunter Sam on the 27th Feb in Canberra.

They will contest the Australian Heavyweight title over 10 rounds

    What happened, why the layoff(s)?

Debut in '07, nothing again until '09, nothing again until 2011 during which he fought twice (failing in a draw to capture the Aussie HW title) and then ****ed off until three months ago. :?
