Hard hitting Ben Edwards returns to the world of boxing

Those of "significance" in Australia refuse to fight Edwards as they are too busy playing the ratings. Edwards would fight any Australian HW but doesn't get called hence bouncing back and forth between sports.
Not saying he would win but Edwards would come to fight versus Leapai, Browne, Williams, Parker, Sam, Haumono, etc. These are all fights that could be made and haven't - and it's not Edwards dodging from what I read.


I would like to see Andre Meunier get a crack at fighting a few of the above as well although he is getting on and another again not called upon as far as I know.

 

Yes too many Aussie protecting their records I know, but if the loopholes through the Asia Pacific bogus route are not changed, sadly this will continue to occur.

You should have to win the Aussie title to progress that way all these guys will have to fight each other to get to the next step.

that's stupid. some fighters could be in line stranded for a year or even years just waiting to get a shot at the title.

I get that which seeks volumes about boxing today. On the other hand the HW K1 fighters mostly don't dodge each other which is great for fans.

 

Seems to work if you want to go to the Olympics....... If they're not happy with that, relocate to Europe or America and fight :hey

if a promising fighter gets a loss he is thought to be finished, that's why nobody wants to take risks anymore. not cause they r scared.

Actually if a fighter has 1 or 2 losses they will have no trouble getting fights.

 

True in quite a lot of instances. Muay Thai has the right mindset - undefeated fighters are viewed as cherry pickers and people don't obsess over this bull**** "0".

What's wrong with waiting and earning title shots ??? take the likes of Calzaghe etc Joe waited and earn't his first title shot, calzaghe fought a dozen times before he even had the chance to fight for the British Title then had something like 10 defences of it before he fought Eubank for a a quarter of the world title then he defended that around 15 times before he unified , Hagler was another who waited an age to get a title shot these guys NOT waiting are just after a quick buck and getting smacked around embarrassingly on the world stage not even bothering to fight for a Commonwealth title first WAITING and EARNING title shots is what makes for great fights and ATG fighters .
