    Good call.
Tony was always known as a banger, his left hook could take your head off yet his ko percentage was only around 50%.
I think in Sibbo’s case it depended on motivation.
Some fights he turned up both physically and mentally prepared and he was a real force to be reckoned with, others he seemed to be less motivated and turned in sluggish and sloppy performances.

Lol What is being considered "low" here because I'm seeing Ray Robinson and Sam Langford's names being thrown around....

Ray Robinson - 109 KOs from 174 wins, 62% KO percentage from his wins.... so over two thirds of his wins were via knockout ? Over 100 knockouts throughout the duration of his career.

Sam Langford - 126 KOs from 178 wins, 70% KO percentage from his wins..... and again meaning well over two thirds of his wins were via stoppage. Again over 100 knockouts throughout his career.

Corrie Sanders knocked out glass chin Wladmir Klitschko and few washed up has been. That doesn't equate to being a hard puncher.

Right on point! I was thinking something like this, but hadn't quite formulated how to articulate it so precisely.

I'm guessing that you've followed boxing for about as long as you've had this account.

Jones had a high ko percentage. Probably could've been higher
if he pressed hard every fight.

It's funny but Page, RIP, was first considered a huge underachiever and then simply over rated based on expectations out of the gate .. he was a highly touted amateur out of Louisville and hailed by many as the next Ali ... big, fast with a cement punch and a lot of skills he somehow always missed fighting the top Cuban on the ABC series USA against the world in Amateur Boxing .. always a Jimmy Clark or someone else would step up and get flattened by Stevenson but never Page in the ring .. as a pro he looked good although never in terrific shape physically but then was beat up by Berbick on the Holmes Cooney undercard ... he bounced back but looked sloppy losing to Witherspoon who also looked less than stellar .. at the time these fights were frowned upon as out of shape slobs stinking out the joint on national TV .. then he drifted losing to Bey, Tubbs , Douglas .. briefly winning an alphabet title vs Coetzee, another over rated under achiever, and then becoming a journeyman of sorts .. he was a bit overrated from the start and also simply not able to bring his best to the game on any sort of consistent basis ..

A fair assessment I think. He was plenty of fun in his heyday though.

Think we all missed an obvious one. Emile Griffith. Especially after the Benny Paret
    tragedy .

You saw a bit of amateur boxing HG, out of interest did you ever see Pages two victories over the Ruskie Igor Vysotky? Igor beat Teofilo both times they fought and is the only man to ever knock him out.
