i think u looked into too much. Many just passionate fans posting pictures of their favorite fighter stating that they are putting work in for their up and coming fight.

 

I agree with the OP, a mature post as opposed to some of the nut hugging on here - if you have a natural talent and can make millions then it's pretty damn easy to stay motivated to be in top shape - he has no money worries, has nothing to do with his time except spend 3-4 hours in a gym each day

Well done to those who stay in shape, but with the money they get it's hardly something that deserves special praise - they would be stupid not to do that

 

:deal We as fans often just see them in the ring anf think about money they get, but just think about all the medical problems they have, Rios is 26 year old talking like 65 year old, just imagine concussions that Bradley had and pretty much every pro fighter, it all looks easy from outside but we just see them in the ring what about days after 12 round fights...its easier to work 8 hours every day!!!

 

You sound like a jealous turd,it takes hard work and dedication to be the best at anything never mind boxing.The fact that Floyd Mayweather earns so much money is baffling to some people but believe me he earns every cent of it.

im hard pressed to find another sport where a participant is universally respected and recognized as the best, amongst their peers, besides maybe messi in football. they both inspire the others to be the best they can be. fighters are routinely sucking floyd off on twitter. messi too. says it all

 

While there are a lot of hard working people or possibly harder working people than Floyd in their profession, i must say that is pretty damn hard for one to achieve to be world's number 1 and kept the longetivity that Floyd has.
A lot has to do with him being naturally gifted as well.

I see yor point, but there is huge difference between an average joe and an elite athlete. Boxing IMO is the most grueling sport (of course there are competitiors ... Rugby players, football, Triathletes, etc..) and to compare the mental/physical fortitude of a world champion professional fighter who has been known to train for literally =3 hours straight w/o a break other than an occasional sip of water, to a father/mother who works, exercises and has a family makes no sense.

An athlete on the caliber of Mayweather, not only has to deal with the physical disclipine it takes but aslso the social discipline. Imagine everywhere you go, your mobbed by fans/haters, leeches, groupies, racists, etc.. and still have to remain focused on your craft, let alone, deal with the pressure of having to perform on the biggest of stages and you should see that this isn't even a logical debate. Also, keep in mind that Mayweather, like a lot of athletes, also have families/children as well.
