Harder hitter: bellew or cloud?

Bellew has got natural power and I think probably hits harder than Cloud!

 

I think Bellew has more power punch for punch.

But obviously cloud is a much better fighter

 

remember bellew has bad hands aswell

 

To be fair you can't criticise Cloud for failing to stop Johnson and Woods..... those two guys could take punches from most HW's and still be stood there at the end.

Judge Bellew in a years time when hopefully he's calmed down and learned that charging across the ring after decking someone isn't always the right tactic. He can definitely crack though, I just hope Phil Edwards doesn't ref his next fight, because he spoiled the Velecky and McKenzie ones.

 

There's no evidence to suggest that Bellew's a murderous puncher. Cloud's a decent hitter but equally hasn't stopped an elite or top-level opponent. I think the jury's out for a few years.

Truthfully, I can't see Bellew, with such sloppy technique in the pro-game, making it to world level.

This is highly subjective IMO. It's really hard to call, there isn't an obvious answer.

What I would point out is Cloud stopped Gonzalez who is a tough fellow.

I also think you have to take into account Cloud is a volume puncher, he throws a lot. We're talking about on a punch by punch basis here.

Competition comes into it, Cloud's is better.

I don't know, wouldn't like to call it.

What I would say is you've forgot Sillakh. He's possibly the biggest puncher in the division.

Kos, I'm not sure what that proves. He knocked out a guy in the amateurs? He can punch, but on what evidence as a pro can anyone say he's a really damaging puncher?

Stopping a bunch of domestic level guys is fine. But we need to wait and see.

 

Well, he knocked JL Dickinson clean out with one shot (not the only amateur fight in which he's done it) whilst wearing bigger gloves and head guards. Dickinson's never shown a dodgy beard in the pro's (apart from when he got it broke by Turba :yep - a big puncher in his own right) either.

Cloud is more proven for now. And he's thought some real tough fighters.

 

If you can punch you can punch.

Amateur or pro it makes no difference.

Argueably it is harder to spark people like the above clip in the ams as you have the head gear.

Bellew hits hard don't doubt it!!!

 

I think you have to say Bellew has the natural power lookinng at the video you have to say that is an impressive knockout it was almost a glancing blow on the temple with a headguard on with bigger gloves and he was out for a few minutes
