Gassiev Gassiev has bone rattling power, Briedis might actually catch guys a bit colder because he is quicker and more unpredictable but for sheer power its no contest.
So we're talking about Gassiev, Golovkin's sparring partner? No wonder he seems unfazed by punches from middleweights!
You peeping this superbowl @IntentionalButt ?? Eagles gonna sexually molest, I feel it in my bones. Gonna get ready for this riot in Philly once the Eagles get that W.
My gf and I are watching the Puppy Bowl, actually. I could not care less about football. (strictly a boxing/hockey/basketball man) I do hate Tom Brady, though, so yeah, rah-rah, I'm with you, go Eagles. Been hearing about this Michael C. Hall looking ***** and how 'perfect' and dreamy he is (and how the actual GOAT athlete is him and not, say, Jordan or SRR) for almost two decades now from every thirsty ho (and closeted bi dude aka male Pats fan), sick of it. Hopefully they lose today and he finally retires, because another trophy will surely mean he continues another few years to extend the "legacy" of his stupid "dynasty".
Training with Golovkin and both of them having equal reputations for burning through hired-hand sparring partners at the same clip at the Summit was actually part of the early warning system for those who didn't have Gassiev on their radar. Abel's certification (among others, like Afolabi) that Gassiev was probably the hardest puncher he ever felt in sparring, including from much larger heavyweights, lent credence to him being the real deal and not just a gym legend that wouldn't translate into a real fight. People in the know have been harping on Gassiev's thunderous clout for a while now, and it was only in his last three fights that casuals have gotten hip to see those Daisy-cutter fists in action with empirical results against undeniably tough world class opposition.
Actually surprised at the one-sided nature of the poll (now 21-0), had expected a bit of resistance from the Briedis camp, but then boxing fans have always been a fickle bunch. I bet had Brieidis dropped or stopped Usyk (or had I made this before the WSBB got underway) he would be ahead. I mean hey, maybe all 21 people so far are voting for the correct reasons (actual informed evaluation of their h2h power factoring in the quality & particularly sturdiness of competition; as I do think Gassiev is the harder puncher and have thought so for a while) but I find it hard to swallow that it would be 21-0 if the circumstances were different. You'll always find a majority voting for whoever is "hot" and less inclined to support anyone coming off a loss.
Gassiev hits harder and his punch technique is on a whole other level. http://boxingatthedepot.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/ko1.gif He looks like Joe Louis with the shoulder snap on that left hook.
