Meh. You think it would carry up 25lb enough to be comparable with Gassiev's? Or even Briedis'? I think he would get smoked out in a duel with Kudryashov, honestly.
Briedis is better looking than Gassiev, but Gassiev is still a handsome chap. https://boxnation.azureedge.net/cloudcache/2/6/6/5/d/7/2665d79984be5d2616ce1b93edfe775ba6ed900f.png https://img02.rl0.ru/a444c4eca6ffb5...mbler.ru/img/2017/09/08213813.169085.7944.jpg Gassiev is a lovely chap, but Briedis is also a lovely chap, too. Briedas has excellent power .combined with good speed and technique.Sparked that big lump Charr with one shot all 17 odd stone of him face first out cold for about five minutes.Gassiev hits hard as well but I think Briedas is more likely to hit when his opponent is not expecting the shot which amplifies the effect.Good job Bellew did stick around at cruiser!
In terms of raw power or an actual boxing match? Because I agree that Kudryashov has more power, but I'm not sure he beats Beterbiev, there's quite a difference in technique and speed there. FWIW Beterbiev was one of the very few that hurt Usyk a bit in the am's, with a body shot.
Yeah, he was a monster in the amateurs, but the road in the pros has been a little rocky. Are you forgetting the Page match? Beterbiev isn't all that much tidier on a consistent basis IMO than Kudra, plus he's way smaller..
Yes, it is true that Beterbiev hasn't looked as good in the pros. But Kudryashov is so slow and rarely throws straight punches, I really think he could be outboxed here.
His reach is longer, frame much larger, and he can hurt you even with a blocked punch, which is why I lean his way, but true, if Beterbiev could weave his way in and get to him first, he's probably mighty enough to press Dmitry's snooze button.
I just checked and Ismail Abdoul does indeed stand as the only common professional opponent to date of Gassiev & Brieidis (soon to be joined by Usyk). And yes, Briedis did better against him than a pre-Abel version of Gassiev. I'm doubtful as to whether Briedis would manage to drop Lebedev, however - or kayo former 2-time champ Diablo Wlodarczyk (the gritty Pole had never stopped before in 57 bouts) with a single body shot - or batter a game Dorticos into submission - or put Isiah Thomas into a dizzy stupor with a couple of right hands (the second one happening to come just ½ a second after the bell). On the other hand, if you put Gassiev in with a fat Manuel Charr there's no question that he would spark him out IMO.
