Cotto shut Zab down with low blows, he would have been getting cracked with uppercuts like he got in that first round and many other hard punches all night long. He wasn't getting touched by Cotto till he got weakend with the low blows. Notice nomore "accidental" low blows when the fight is going Cotto's way after the dirty shots:think Zab and Shane are both good hitters, it just depends on how bad they have there opponent hurt that they can really do big damage.

Zab would've gassed out, Cotto takes over and fight ends around 11 or so. Different story same ending.

 

Or the butt that opened Cotto up around his eye.

 

How would any of us know Zab would have gassed out in that fight? He seemed to be very prepared until the fouls. And even with the fouls he still provided a great fight. His conditioning didn't look suspect to me, he was just hurt from the fouls

By round 4 of that fight - Cotto had shut the Uppercutts down. Judah kept throwing them and Cotto was picking them off. Once Zab noticed he wasn't getting that off - he was done. He really didn't have a Plan B for that figth.
