I think alot of you guys are basing Zabs ability before the Cotto fight. Cotto gave him one of the worst beatings ive seen in years and Zab looked like a dam near close to shot fighter agianst Vasquez and Davis he had no power, had no workrate, didnt put his combos together. 2005 Judah I believe was both faster and more of a dangerous puncher with his left then Shane is in 2008 but not nearly the fighter he is in terms of chin, stamina, body punching etc. Mosley is going to batter Judah. Floyd busted Judah up and Cotto put 1 foot in the grave for Judah now its Mosleys time to finish him for good. Mosley,Mayweather,Cotto the 3 best Welterweights and Judah cant **** with that.
Nah you gotta understand against Vasquez and Davis he was putting rounds in. He DIDN'T look like a shot fighter, he was just pasing himself. He came off some losses and put in some work. He certantly outclassed them. Looked pretty ok. He can compete with Floyd, Cotto, and Mosley. If his focus matches his ability Zab would be considered one of the best p4p right now.
Vargas was shot ever since his demolition at the hands of Tito.:deal Shane didn't prove much in that win.
Never said that Vargas wasn't shot but I can't see Judah knocking out a 160+lb Vargas with one punch. You're telling me you think he could?
Let's see. Since 2002, Shane has KO'd 1 fighter. That being Fernando Vargas, who was one fight removed from having his jaw broken by Francisco Castillejo. Zab starched Cory Spinks. Something a prime Mayora couldn't do at 147, Roman Karmazin at 154, or Jermain Taylor at 160. He starched Cosme Rivera, who had never been KO'd before, in 3 rounds. The same Rivera who went the distance with Andre Berto and Joel Julio both. In the Mosley-Judah presser, Shane himself spoke on Zab's power and said that Zab had Cotto more hurt than he did. There isn't too many punches at 147 more lethal than Zab's straight left and uppercut.
Zab's got more 1 punch KO pwr I think. But I think Mosley's got a more powerful left hook, his most underrated punch.
Maybe perhaps match-up wise Vargas may have been tougher for Judah. Maybe Zab wouldn't have stopped Vargas with one punch, but Zab would have also done away with Vargas in a similar fashion. I also think it's very premature for people to think Zab is gonna get killed by Mosley. Zab has been calling Mosley out for years now and to be honest I think Zab is gonna take that one.
