Harder Puncher: Roberto Duran or Jose Napoles?

    Who would you say was the harder hitter of the two and how would you compare their punching power?
    I think they were very close in terms of power. Both spiteful punchers although I think Napoles put his punches together a bit better with more fluidity. Duran was a bit more heavy handed.

    Duran carried his power up higher, so if there's a distinction to be made that would be it.

    Interestingly enough, Napoles retired at 81-7 while Duran went 81-7 through his first 88 fights. Duran had 60 KOs to Napoles' 54, but had fewer fights above his natural weight. Napoles' entire reign took place above his natural 135-140.

    I would say Duran. He was hurting guys all the way up at MW.

    Yeah, I think Duran had real power, and Napoles' came from how sharp his punches were.
