Out of the 4 fighters listed who do you think was the hardest puncher @ MW? The Hitman, The Hawk, G-Man, or GGG?

Jackson, but P4P I suspect Hearns hit as hard as anyone.

GGG is what Julian Jackson could have been if he had elite class punching technique

Jackson had scary, knock you cold with one punch power. His KO highlight reel is pretty nasty. Hearns had great power but most of his knockouts occurred below MW.

Only idiots would rate Gerald McClellan higher than a eurobum like ggg. G-Man was a psychotic animal abuser who lost to bums like Ralph Ward and Denis Milton.

    :patsch

ggg >>> g-man in power, skills, mentality.

And you all know I am unbiased when it comes to triple bum.

I'm thinking it would go McClellan, Jackson, Hearns, GGG.

In a P4P sense, Jackson and Hearns top the list. ****, Hearns carried his power from welter to light heavy. Hard to argue against that...

The difference between the lot is Jackson, Hearns, Mc Clellan looked sensational knocking out undersized fighters during their primes, when they could boil down in weight and were most of the time physically bigger than their foes.

I would concede they all had better sudden power than GGG. But against an immobile target, GGG has equal, and probably better power due to better technique and positionning.

And, most importantly, he does it against bigger fighters than himself ( most of the time) without boiling down in weight.

I doubt any of them could knock Nigel Benn out of the ring the way Mclellen did.

Its the G man by a long long way also its not just about the knockout power he had the hardest jab. Not the best that was Hearns but the hardest.

Yeah, let's just forget about the fact that Jackson, McClellan and Hearns all fought during the era of the same day weigh-in, you complete ****ing ******. :verysad

Jackson hit's harder than anyone I have ever seen. The way he would just put fighters to sleep in an instant was chilling.

Then I'd have Hearns second on this list. He had power all the way up to light heavy which for a guy that started at welter is shocking. His right hand was just vicious.

McClellan is next. He clearly had very concussive power, especially early on, brutal clubbing power, hit harder than Hearns but then he was naturally a lot bigger than anyone on this list having drained himself a lot to make weight. His left hook to the body is also a nasty shot which could end the fight as quickly as his right hand.

Golovkin is in last place. He may very well go on to prove to be a better puncher than some on this list but he simply hasn't proven it. While he has literally walked through most of his opposition to date he has yet to fight at a level that Jackson, Hearns and McClellan have. When he has fought the best then we can assess his power more accurately.
