Harder puncher Wilder or Hearns? (Pound for pound)

Wilder was maybe a few seconds away from getting the knockout vs Tyson. We are talking about being the harder puncher not the better boxer.

I will go with your argument if we are talking about the harder puncher pound for pound. One mistake is all it takes.

Yes but skill determines the ability and frequency to land. Almost getting Fury out is like almost being pregnant.
The fact is he didn't and Fury was hardly considered iron chinned before the trilogy.
My point is Wilders power is overrated because his level of competition has been poor.
Look at the first 15 fights for Mike Tyson or Lennox Lewis. What do you see? You see them blasting guys out like there nothing. the difference is they stepped up the level of competition to world level and started to win belts. Wilder just continued to fight B-C level guys so yes his KO ratio was very high but it was against weak opposition so it means nothing.
We will never know how powerful Wilder was because he spent his career avoiding the the top guys in the division.

 

If throw that into the equation yes but raw power between him and Hearns I would say Wilder. Hearns was 6' 1" fighting as a welter. I mean ya Wilder to me is a wasted career. He fought Fury because he thought he would be easy.

Dominic Breazeale had a great chin. It took AJ 7 rounds to get him out. AJ punches very hard.

It took Wilder one punch. Id say Wilder based on how durable Breazeale was/Is.

Both Wilder and Hearns had/have that one punch power that AJ does not have.

 

Wilder always reminds me of Tommy. Lanky power punchers. Tommy obviously has much better skills but I think wilder should copy his style .
