because the underdog must take the fight into the favored fighter...before, the challenger must take the fight into the champion but that is not applicable in our era..

remember the mosley-cotto fight. cotto receives the nod in close rounds because he is favored to win that fight. i go by the philosophy that the underdog must steal the round. if it is even, the favored fighter gets close rounds...that the judging practice nowadays..see collazo-berto fight
