I have to get a copy to watch it again. I did however get to see the Antuofermo-Hagler I fight recently. Another tough one. Hagler was upset though at the draw.

    Ok, thanks.
Yeah, Hagler tended to do that. It's my only critisisum of him. Hagler let Duran hang around, instead of pressing him and also to a degree did the same with Leonard.
You know I noticed something. it was not that long ago you were new & now you have 5,000 Posts! Very impressive!:good

    or sad as ****

Really you think Hagler eased off in all his fights. it hink he only did that against Vito the first time.

I think he played the fight as a whole to safe against Duran then realised he needed the last 2 so he turned it up and won them big.

Against Leonard he went easy early and that cost him the fight.

But if you watch his title fights he is capable of turning it on early and late and keeps a decent pace throughout

Yes , but sometimes he is just complacent to let a fighter hang around. I mean come on, Duran was no way going to hurt Hagler. Hagler should have steamrolled him. After the first Antuofermo fight. Hagler said he would never leave it up to the judges again. & it almost cost him against Duran & it surely did bite him in the ass with Leonard. (Incidently I think Hagler beat Leonard). But that's a whole other story!
