It's between Hamed and Lopez. Arguello as well, though his prime was at SFW. And don't forget Saddler.

I'd go for Hamed, although there are certainly others that could be picked here without a fuss.

I think Azumah Nelson deserves a shout, as does Terry McGovern.

What does that have to do with his power? Shavers never knocked out Holmes ... does this mean that he isn't a hard hitter?

Any objective observer that's seen Hamed at the heavy bag or watched his career progress wouldn't dare insinuate that he doesn't deserve consideration in the matter at hand.

O dear the Hamed nuthuggers chime in. I really have to give credit to the man, he really made himself a huge favorite of some fans. people here defend hamed to the death. hamed got exposed by MAB, simple as that. Hamed had great physical tools, he was a very good fighter, but nothing more. he did not hit harder and did not pocess the punching abilities of sandy saddler. It is a big deal to knockout great fighters, they are the hardest to knockout. As for your shavers comment, i do not think he is the hardest hitter ever

    Grow up!

Nuthugging? I don't even like Hamed, so there goes your inane theory.
Anyone objective that has watched Hamed would acknowledge that the man could really bang. His name does deserve to be mentioned with the top bangers at the weight, regardless of how much you want to diminish his abilities.

How many truly great HW fighters did Joe Louis KO? How many truly great fighters did Tyson KO? How many truly great fighters did Liston KO? Or Foreman? Or even Marciano .... how many great, truly great natural HW fighters, barring an old Louis did Marciano KO?

A severely undertrained Hamed, who wasted his physical tools by training purely for power hitting, neglecting his boxing skills and stamina, was beaten comprehensively, by a great, prepared fighter in MAB. No shame in that ... it's the way that he didn't come back to even the odds like all greats should once posting their first loss to a great fighter that lets him down big time. Fault him for that, not for something like "him never KOing a great fighter".

Hamed is one fighter I detest ,I disliked him all through his career ,his preening conceited vainglorious procession to the ring nauseated me .I was one very happy bunny when MAB exposed him, plus I won a few quid.Hamed showed his real self to the world over that hit and run car accident , a piece of **** imo.BUT! he had terrific power,on a par with any feather I would say ,Saddler included, judged on power alone he has no peer at the weight IMO.

oh please there is a fine line between great and very good.

Oliver mcCall would of got koed by holmes, i guess:blood

why are you putting these guys on pedastals. they arnt that different to the guys who were contenders or just unlucky. most champs have been koed most have looked awful on occasion. so why on earth does it make them greater than some of the A- fighters.

people target the ibhof for bad inductees like mcguigen and norris....but whats makes them bad. barry unified 2 countries. thats far bigger than a leather strap and a metal broach on it.

norris had three losses before winning his first title. getting koed brutally by nobodies and only half decent champs. but i regard him as one of the most talented fighters of all time. and top 3 light middles.

is jermain taylor great becuase he beat hopkins? was hopkins great to start with?

besides from you hijacking the thread on how exposed he was...the guy could bang that doesnt mean thaty saddler would of lost or should be ranked lower in terms of achievment
