That’s him! Thanks Mac, if I need to know something it’s always either you or Janitor to set the history straight for me. I’ve given @janitor his flowers but you have also taught me so much boxing history despite any disagreements we’ve ever had about the sport we enjoy… I’ve read your posts since I was about 15-16? years old and were my go to for my Jack Johnson phase.
No, troll the troll! (But @Spreadeagle's user name is one of my favorite things to do to a girl...his user name gives me boners...)
This is how the results are more accurate: https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/mount-rushmore-of-hw-punchers.709690/ ...but also on your topic, and on mine, the order goes: 1. Foreman 2. Shavers 3. Wilder
Looking at young Foreman's record, the only two unique stoppages on his resume are post FOTC Frazier. Henry Clark II, Tiger Williams and Young I stand out for Shavers, despite Earnie being a horrible finisher. He'd rush in after a knockdown, get his arms all tied up, and quickly fatigue. Ali showed with Lyle how to do it. Step back, aim from a distance, and sharp shoot rather than go crazy. In JQ II, Muhammad knew Jerry was not yet fully expended in round six, and sure enough, he suddenly came alive. At the outset of round seven though, Ali knew a psyched out Jerry was done. (What Bob Foster had just done to kid brother Mike completely ruined a well honed JQ for the rematch, but even if Mike had done well against BF, Ali would never take Jerry lightly. Their rematch would've lasted rounds more, but JQ II was still the GOAT's best performance between Folley and Foreman.)
