Lets have some fun with this . It's hard to say which puncher hit absolutely the hardest with one shot. I'll try and break it down by category of particular punches . Starting with the Jab. Holmes,Liston, Foreman,Lewis, Ali. Right hand, Marciano,Foreman,Lewis,Louis,Shavers, Left hook, Liston,Dempsey,Tyson,Tua,Frazier, Louis . Best combination puncher of course J.Louis, followed by Tyson, Ali, Holyfield . Best uppercut, Foreman, Tyson, Lewis,Louis, Lyle,Holmes. Best body puncher,Frazier, Louis, Marciano,Dempsey,Tyson. Overall best puncher In my opinion esp when considering he didn't need a wind-up, therefore never telegraphed his punches J.Louis. Other opinions certainly welcomed.
Well it's a video part one of punchers in history, so there's nothing to disagree about unless the video uploader doesn't include others some think should be included and you know they wont bc there's really never a true accurate one for everyone. Find a video of ranked puncherp punchers then you'll get complaints.
The Brown Bomber technique was flawless with textbook boxing fundamentals. He didn't blowtorch and pressure opponents like Marciano and Frazier but he did it in a subtle cold calculated way. He stalk them like a big cat and dissect his opponent and finish them with a blur of explosive punches.
Oh boy! Another "hardest punching heavyweights" topic. Maybe this deserves its own sub-forum... or even its own master forum! Let's embrace the New Year and give the people what they want.
