ok, so looking at the is tyson power overated thread, it got me too thinking, who are the most destructive punchers at h/w...i dont mean most succesful...just the most destructive , heavy handed fighters the division has seen.....not cumulation a la tyson, and even rocky...just the power to take someone out with a single shot.......howz about big old foreman, frank bruno and corrie sanders to start with......max baer right hand must be up there too...any more for any more....cooney left hook, morrison ditto.....

    Lewis

I think Lewis' uppercut should be on there. The may have cheated but he absolutely destroyed Grant with it. And it was a devestating punch against Tyson when they fought as well as V.K.

Dempsey had a great uppercut. Marciano knock Louis out of the ring with a uppercut.

He knocked Louis out of the ring with a straight right, but really KO'd Louis with the uppercut, Louis was just sitting on the ropes when Marciano knocked him through them with the straight right.

What about Cooney's left hook? He had one of the hardest left hooks of all time, if not the hardest.

Well Marciano was makeing the movements for the uppercut when Louis sat on the ropes. Do with I saw the end from other view. That back view was pretty hard to tell what happen.

Yep. He hit Louis with a left uppercut that completely finished Louis, but Louis was still sitting on the ropes, so Marciano hit him with a left uppercut, right straight combo, which knocked Louis through the ropes.

Do you think Joe Frazier had more power in his left hook than did George Foreman? I doubt Joe could hit harder than Foreman with any type of a punch.

I'd definately add Razor Ruddock and Tommy Morrison into the mix.

true in terms of power Foreman may be ahead, but Fraziers came with speed and power. That's why he floored Ali and always seemed to hurt Ali more then Big George
