For me Gerry ****ey is the hardest hitting body puncher of all time, the way in which he destroyed the tough as nails Ron Lyle in one round is beyond compare.

As i recall Joe Louis damaged a few of Max Schemlings Vertebra from the effects of his few devastating Body shots in the return match...

Not saying that he was the most devastating body puncher ever, but Sanders could crack hard to the body as well. He put Weathers down with a blistering series of body punches and the ones he landed on Sprott had some real impact too

If we are talking about capable of delivering the single hardest punch to the body, then Frazier is not your guy.

But if we're talking about effectiveness as a body puncher over the course of a fight, thus causing great cumulative damage, Smokin' Joe Frazier gets my vote as the best body puncher in heavyweight history.

If it's one shot power to the body for me it's Gerry ****ey without a doubt.

word. Schmeling didnt go down cause he was paralyzed against the ropes from the damage. Great shouts for ****ey, Tyson, Morrison, Frazier, and def Foreman. who else? Does Bowe have a bodyshot ko/TKO? Lyle was past it but still ****ey might have beaten a prime Lyle the same way. Hard to say between all those guys. Might be Foreman. The sound of Tyson's bodyshots was frightening as well.

Joe Louis easily. He made a prime max Schmeling cry and suffer a fractured vertebrae with one right hand to the body

There will never be another one like joe louis

In terms of sheer power, I'd say Co0ney.

    In terms of effectiveness, Frazier.
