You'd also be saying that Cooper hit harder than Foreman and Liston using that logic.
Maybe Sir Henry hit hardest of all?

Not really, you gotta look at the durability of the oppoents they were knocking out too. Cause if that's the case Vitiali would be hardest hitter ever and he has a great KO ratio.

And as far as power goes, speed will give you more hitting power if your proper techinque, it's just simple physics. Tyson was also a physically strong guy as well.

I agree. Although on the night he beat Tyson, Douglas was a pretty impressive force, Quarry had a lot more quality wins than Buster.

Cooper hit Ali with the perfect left hook-Cooper was 183 lbs.
Foreman and Liston probably would've knocked him out with their perfect shots.
I think we need to qualify this post a little more.

  6. it is very funny because foreman and shavers are top 1-2 always it is not even debatable. every boxer who faced tyson-foreman say that foreman was harder puncher. and every boxer who faced shavers-tyson say that shavers was harder puncher.
so this list is basing on the favourite boxer of the people, this list have no credibility.
the tyson fans have absolutely nothing to say tyson was harder puncher than foreman or shavers. because even tyson himself said that they were harder punchers than him. and every rival in common (holmes said that shavers was harder puncher than tyson, holyfield said that foreman was harder puncher than tyson.)

Right..because there is a difference between the most effective puncher and the fighter with the most concussive power.

    Stoic,

Yes, Earnie Shavers was 'Knocked-out' in one round by Jerry Quarry, and he also got stopped by Ron Stander, and Ron Lyle.
But that doesn't he mean he didn't punch hard.

He has to be on everybody's 'Top Ten List'.

Even though he was an amateur, Teofilio Stevenson may have had the
    most 'First round' 'one-punch' knockouts.

  9. amateur is not pro, it is other history, teofilo was a great boxer in 4 rounds, end of the history, he would be gassed and destroyed.

Stevenson could punch! Ever see the Tate and Bobick KO's?
I don't think either one of them ever fully recovered.
Didn't he also break Tyrell Biggs ribs?

This was my favorite Tyson knockout

  13. but this list is not true, because if 100 guys are fans of tyson (or tony galento) probably this boxer will have 100 votes. but the proofs and the facts prove that he was not the hardest puncher.not even top 2.
