Oh dear... another thread of Tyson over rating. The 2 biggest hitters in HW history are Foreman and Shavers... Tyson hit hard but he wasn't really a concussive puncher like Foreman or Shavers... And what top fighters did Tyson KO? apart from a LHW Spinks and a 38 year old past it Holmes?

Wlad hits much harder than Vitali

  3. harder maybe, much harder never.
but vitali is much stronger, he has better chin and he is more aggressive.

i agree with you, foreman and shavers are the 2 hardest punchers in the history of boxing. obviously the tyson fans will pick tyson, but the facts are that. even tyson himself said "foreman and shavers were killers and they did hit much harder than i"
holmes faced tyson and shavers and larry said that shavers was harder puncher.
holyfield faced tyson and foreman and evander said that foreman was harder puncher.

Not so sure... Vitali is an accumulative KO artist, Wlad only needs to land that right hand once. Briggs got hit with everything but the kitchen sink by Vitali and never went down and he's hardly known for a great chin

This thread is getting a little 'convoluted'.

It's hard to put (10) guys in there.
Following what everybody has posted, a solid (3) is easier.
You can mix-n-match them in any position.
    Tyson
    Foreman
    Shavers

Getting knocked out by somebody, doesn't mean your not a hard puncher.
You can find a hole or weakness in anybody's style and or record.

An easier question, if you had to go in the ring, with your hands down, and take
'one punch', who would be the one person that you wouldn't want to get hit by?

One punch ko Foreman vs Cooney and then i'm the drunk one!!:rofl

Go watch some Stevenson clips on youtube. Maybe you can learn something about "one punch ko".

  10. yes, ron lyle was a hell of puncher but there are tons of hard punchers ,... honestly i would not put wladimir on this list.
i would put foreman, shavers, liston, tyson, max baer, joe frazier(left hook) ,david tua, gerry cooney, marciano and joe louis

    JCC.

I also mentioned Teofilio Stevenson earlier.
Amateur or Pro, the guy threw the most perfect 'straight right hand'.

  12. basically i know every fight of stevenson, and have these videos (your Knowledge is wikipedia and youtube),you can not compare amateur boxers with professionals and to say that stevenson was harder puncher than foreman, tyson or shavers shows that you know **** about boxing
cooney was ko by a single upper but foreman finished him with other punch

Tysons ability to land a hard punch was amazing. Best puncher does not equal hardest hitter though.
