I went with the younger version of George Foreman, the man was just a monster. Shavers could punch, and could punch with either hand, he almost decapitated Ron Lyle with a left hook and it was a left hook that originally hurt Norton. But Shavers has become somewhat of a "trendy" pick these days.

Quarry took some of Shavers best shots and took Earnie out. I just don't think Jerry could have taken George's best shots like he did Shaver's. But who is to say.

While I think that Shavers has the biggest one-punch KO power in his right hand, I believe that overall Foreman has the heavier hands. Every single punch Foreman hits you with does hurt.

your out of your goddamn mind.

its debateable if tyson hit harder than shavers or foreman, i am open to that argument, but no way can anyone question tysons ATG punching power abilities.

or have you forgotten the fact he KTFO of larry holmes, YEARS BEFORE, an even OLDER larry holmes came back and took the then undisputed champion evander holyfield the distance. the same larry holmes that came back as an old man to beat ray mercer.....

how about the half a punch that make berbick lose his mind?

get the **** out of here man

  6. it is not debatable. every rival in common said that they did hit harder than tyson, and even tyson himself did admit it.
and i have eyes.... tyson was better puncher, but foreman and shavers were harder punchers without no doubt.
and obviously tyson was one of the hardest punchers of all time.

Tyson. Too quick, and his balance while throwing those bombs was unparalleled.

Tyson said that out of respect, he gives every all time great respect and for all the people who keep saying that Holmes said Shavers hit harder, Tyson was the only fighter to KO holmes.(Holmes also didn't like Tyson, so he's never gonna give him credit for his accomplishments) Tyson said Rudduck was the hardest puncher he ever faced.

  9. it is very sad and ridiculous... donovan ruddock has a vote and joe louis not... the brown bomber is probably the best finisher of all time and he was harder puncher than ruddock for sure.

Louis was a hard puncher but I don't think he hit harder than Rudduck. Rudduck was not only a much bigger man but his smash left hook was one the hardest punches in history and Tyson even said that.

Razor Ruddock had one 'mean of a mother' left hook.
So did Jeff 'Candy Slim' Merritt.
But of course, they left themselves 'wide open' when throwing it.

  12. ruddock was not MUCH bigger man, and joe louis was harder puncher, the size is not matter, primo carnera was x2 bigger and stronger than ruddock too and louis was harder puncher than him. and is not matter if tyson knocked out a shot holmes, tyson was better finisher it is all, shavers did put prime holmes down by a single shot. holyfield faced old foreman (nor even a prime foreman) and he said that foreman was harder puncher than tyson or anyone.

  13. when tyson said "foreman and shavers were much harder than i" you say that tyson was being humble but when tyson said " ruddock was the hardest puncher that i faced ever" according to you he was serious.... you are very smart...

At least 8 power punches to kd a completely shot Cooney. Really a great example of 1 punch ko.
Anyway, Foreman was definitely an accumulation puncher. Incredible raw power but not that king of explosiveness and accuracy you need for a truly one punch ko. That kind of explosiveness you can find in Shavers, for example (if you, for some mysterious reasons, don't like Stevenson).
Maybe if you mention Foreman vs Moorer you could seem a little less idiot.
Just a little since Moorer was well known for his fragile chin.
