Tua, for pure punching power, was one of the hardest punchers ever...He was fairly slow, a plodder, lacked skill and had a non-existent defense but if he could land one on you clean he could end it whenever.

Tyson is up there and probably there is an arguement for him being on the same level as Tua, maybe even higher. But I think Mike had much better handspeed, essentially had the better offensive and defensive skills and didnt rely on just one punch, he had a more varied arsenal. These factors, along with his power led to a lot of his stoppages.

David just relied very heavily on his physical strength, pure power and almost exclusively his left hook.

I think Wlad and Vitali are a level below these guys..but are very hard punchers in their own right.

Tyson. Even when Tyson lost his speed he could render you into a coma. Ask Frans Botha.

Tyson's punching power were evident during 1985-87..He was awesome during that period..I felt he was starting to lose it as early as 2nd part of 1988

I agree - the question was harder. I like the distinction. It's important in my view.

Cliff had a grade A glass chin though and pretty much looked like he piked that one.

Young Klitschko probably has the heaviest hand, purely (his straight right is crunching power). However, Tyson had the best delivery system to his power to where he wanted it, of any of these guys.

Tyson's one punch power is overrated. The man had blistering handspeed, and it was his explosiveness that caught his opponents. He really put his punches together. When he started just relying on his power, he really went downhill in a hurry. Don't get me wrong though... the man did have some serious power as well.

Wlad... listen to this left hook....
    [yt]hO_sWnawpU4[/yt]

And that isn't even his hardest punch!

Tua... great power... but only relied on his power which made it seem like he hit harder than he did. He could take anyone out with the right shot, but people always seem to be bigger power punchers when that is all that they throw.

Haye definitely has power, but hasn't proven his power against a bigger heavyweight yet, so the jury is still out on him.

I don't know what order to put them in... they can all put you out with one shot. I would have to lean towards Klitschko as having the heaviest one punch. However, when you have as much power as these guys have... they all have enough to do the job.

& the last guy I'd wanna fight is a prime Tyson. That dude would have intenitions on hitting you hard enuff to make your mother feel it.

I say Klitschko has the heaviest hand, but since he doesnt like to take chances he rarely throws punches with everything behind it. Tyson I believe is close to the Klitschko's in power but I think if you were to have them all punch a PSI machine I believe that Sonny Liston, George Foreman, Ernie Shavers and The Klitschko's would be at the top of the list. However as far as damage dished out from power punches in fights, out of this list I would go Tyson, Tua, Haye, Klitschko.

Which Klitschko you talking about my man?

Well if it's Wlad, I'd have it:

    1) Tua

    2) Tyson

    3) Wlad

    4) Haye

Now if you're talking Wlad then I wouldn't mind you putting him above Tyson, but if it's Vitali then he gets a solid and unmovable 3rd on my list under Tyson and Tua.
