that shot that comes to my mind is the left hook of jefferson vs. harris. that gumshield took off like plane and landed in the 10th row or something. that shot stops anyone. other suggestions?
Lewis's KO of Rahman would at least knock down any heavy weight ever. No one could have taken that shot so flush w/o losing their footing.
Tommy Hearns's KO of Roberto Duran comes to my mind. They weren't heavyweights though so this one may not be the hardest punch ever thrown...
I was surprised that Rahman almost made it to his feet before stumbling. You think Oliver McCall could've taken that shot?
Rocky Marciano "Susie Q" right on Jersey Joe Walcott in the 13th - Jersey Joe's head twisted around and he slumped, collapsing on one knee, and then landing on his face to be counted out. Honorable mentions to Foreman's huge right on Frazier that made him bounce off the canvas in Kingston, Jamaica, Foreman's uppercut and right hand on Gerry Cooney after his comeback in 86, and Donovan Razor Ruddock's left smashes on Bonecrusher Smith in North Carolina and on Michael Dokes in MSG, NYC.
It must be Marciano on Walcott but Rahman on Lennox and Lennox on Rahman deserve homourable mentions. [yt]ABZu5v2JPuE[/yt] [yt]AI8bBYwLGUA&feature=related[/yt]
Foreman landed a similar shot against a fighter early on in his comeback. One of Tyson's sparring partners. Something Jameson. Uppercut that knocked the mouthpiece out and sent it into the crowd somewhere. Nasty.
Earnie Shavers against Holmes in their second fight. Holmes looked like he'd been shot. I can't understand how he got up and survived from that.
