Hardest puncher in each weight class?

I'm not placing HW's like Marciano & others at CW as some did, you could do that with many in other
divisions, why stop that, I was trying to look at strictly guys in each division that fought there.
Many names are very close in my opinion in every division, just because their names are not listed
here means nothing, as they are extremely close, they quite are not at the very top of each division.

curtis sheppard are you kidding me, who put him on any list?

 

Overall a good solid list except for Greb, he was not known at all for having power, he probably would not make the top 25 at any weight in Power, everything I've read on him mentions this fact, other than that though a nice list, not sure about SRL he could hit hard and take people out but not really known for his power,, much better than Greb, but Sugar Ray would be much farther down the list with Cuevas and others well ahead of him at WW, and pryor hit very hard with both hands, but would have to be listed well under Zoo, and Arguello would challenge at JLW but he lost some moving up to LW and probably more going to JWW, and with hardly any fights but a handful at JWW I would not place him there even if he did hit that hard at that weight. and alhtoughNapoles had very good power, there are way too many at WW to place ahead of him, so I wouldnt have him near the top at WW.

 

Well the list wasn't in any real order as far as hardest punchers per weight class. It was a list of names that popped in my head per weight class. And your absolutely right on Greb, he was more H.Armstrong than J.Jackson

 

I feel like cruiserweight is either Bert Cooper or Herbie Hide

 

Not sure if he was the hardest puncher, but Michael Spinks had one hell of a shot at light heavyweight.

 

I do not believe RJJ was near the hardest puncher at any weight.
Great shock value due to his speed & combinations, meaning the effect of a punch you did not see coming. But in absolute force, no sir.

PSI measurements are suspect-Janitor notedd how girls can get high measurements at fairs just by slapping the bag!
I saw a video where a girl hit harder than a guy-but the latter just threw a jab, a poor comparison.
Often more a measure of speed than impact or heavy handedness.
So I do not believe Pacman was anywhere close to the force of AJ.
