One punch power? Bob Foster But the kind of power that wears people down? Beterbiev. He is the most consistent puncher i have ever seen. He doesn't look for one big punch. He just breaks you down. Every punch he throws seems to hurt. But yeah Foster. Then Moore and Spinks. Then Beterbiev. If you want to include old timers, Sam Langford as well. But most of his fights aren't available.
For one punch power possibly even guys like Yarde, Joe Smith, Stevenson ... maybe Foster. But for consistent, solid, triphammer power, it's got to be Beterbiev. The dude has pain in everything he throws. Bonus opinion - for timed power punches that do damage, Kovalev. SK in my opinion might not be the hardest 1 shot power puncher but he's got better timing than the hardest bangers and that means more.
Pretty difficult to pick shot for shot. All on the list were absolutely deadly in their own way. I think too much is made of raw power and the focus should ve more on delivery. For example, Ezzard Charles might not have the most power, but his counter shots could get anyone out of there. Roy and Floyd was all speed. Foster was length and delivery at the perfect distance. Beterbiev is just raw, blunt power from a guy that is always strong in his stance. One really underated guy is Adonis Stevenson. He may be tye least Popular guy on the list but he hit as hard as anyone.
Wild Bill Hanrahan. Only LHW champ with a 100% KO rate. He wasn't good even for his era all he had was a punch. He should be in this poll. Or Fitz but that answers no fun.
I am going to maybe select Spinks based on his one punch knockouts of Lopez and Johnson two boxers known for being tough and durable. And Spinks also dropped Gregory hard as well and Gregory had a very good chin. But here are a couple of light heavys that had ONE punch power: 1. Donnie Lalonde- he looked incredibly awkward at times and often would throw his right hand in a weird way but if he connected with it chances are his opponent would either get dropped or hurt. 2. Adonis Stevenson - his straight left hand is possibly one of the most damaging blows in the history of the light heavyweight division of ALL TIME. Thrown straight and fast he could also counter with it as well and hurt opponents with it head OR BODY. 3. Michael Moore - he was an absolute terror during his time at light heavy. He had I think like 20 straight knockouts at that weight class.
