Come on, you want to compare Wladimir's record and power at 26 with Helenius? No matter how you want to slice it, Wlad was a monster at that age... lot's of actual KO's and early too. And not only against tomato cans like some HW's. He mauled trough his opponents until that shocker against Sanders and later Brewster.... Then he changed his style and became more of a tactician, using his size, not taking risks, but still with a huge punch.
He needed in those days multiple shots before opponents go down. Not only one huge punch. Definetly, he was good puncher in those days, but not even close nowadays power puncher
I voted for Haye pound 4 pound, considering his size and weight. I don't think there's anybody that could match him in that regard. The way he dispatches of bigger guys, and the speed he generates is extremely impressive. ( I didn't vote for Wlad because he is a accumulative puncher that wears his opponents down with a high quantity of jabs....)
Wlad, then Haye. Vitali aims at wearing you down, and IMO he still delivers the biggest punishment of them all but it's not 1 punch power.
I would have said Wladamir all day long until Haye fought Valuev and Ruiz. I thought Haye's power was a bit overrated until he made the 320lbs Valuev do the chicken dance in the 12th with his left hand which is the weaker of the two, and then literally short circuit Ruiz with a right hand whilst moving BACKWARDS. Moving backwards whilst still hitting with power is extremely hard to do and demonstrates real natural power. There is no doubt in my mind Wlad is a thunderous puncher and I'd say his and Haye's power are very similar in respects but they are also different. Like has already been said Haye has the greater explosive power due to his speed. And he is a better combination puncher. But Wladamir has more strength behind his blows and so delivers his blows like a telephone pole to the face. Its hard to to choose but i'd give the edge to Haye by a whisker. When it comes to who is the better 'puncher', i'd definitely go Haye based on his combinations and speed combined with his power.
