Benn is the most recognised because of his longevity at the weight but he was a bigger hitter at middle. Eubank's power was something until the second Watson fight effected him. Roy Jones hasn't been mentioned who had amazing power at SM when he wanted to use it. Kessler's right hand is no joke either. Henry Wharton could wallop but never really done it at the top level. McClellan, while he was big at the weight and undoubtedly carried his power with him he only had the one fight at SM. Jackson was a career L/middle and middle, so it is unfair to class him there. Thinking about it Benn or Jones.
This was pretty much my thought process. I'll go with Benn. I know the division is pretty new, but SMW seems to pale in comparison to the others. There's not one solid candidate for hardest puncher and Slappy is considered the greatest the division has produced.
actually funnily enough nigel benn didnt punch with the tremendous power he did at middleweight he lost some power from middle to super middle , why are so many people going with benn i could understand at middleweight , but he lost alot of pop at super middle , id go with mcclellan personally
Kessler got some power, Abraham could KO possibly anyone in the sport. Benn had tremendous power in both hands I believe, you name it.
Surely that makes it easier to say than a division thats been around 140 years  Benn all day long for me. "I've never been hit that hard before and I don't want to be hit Anything like that again. I retire." Doug De Witt
I get what your saying but the G-Man only had the one fight there, that's why i don't pick him. Benn definitely lost some power when he moved up, his punches at super-middle were then labelled his educated bombs. He still had one hit power but only the toughest could withstand them, he would still break most men down apart from iron chins like Eubank. Has i said Roy Jones when he comitted to using full power rather than just speed, also had one punch power. Especially in his left.
Roy Jones Jr ....idk this is a difficult one ,when you really think about it . Theres not many choices.
Had G-man fought more fights at 168, I would pick him. I'm sure he still was one of the hardest punching 168lbers still. It's hard to say because most of the punchers that were at 168 came from lower weights like Abrahim, Hearns, G-man, and Miranda. Miranda and Abrahim weren't skilled enough to even make use of it.
