Tyson had a different style of lay off - he had stopped training in the way he did with Cus D'amato, he let fame go to his head and the guy that existed as the youngest every HW champ was no longer in existence.

Ali's best years came following that fight, Tyson's best years were well behind him after that fight.

And both would get spanked by Lewis and the Klitschkos.

Great additions! Pryor and Whitaker are a toss up for me and at 154 Hearns was a machine. Wasn't there long enough to build up a resume but I've never seen a fighter in the division's history who could take him, including Norris who I have ranked at 1

oh come on now, spanked? Not a hope. I don't think either would beat Ali but if they did, it wouldn't be a spanking :nono

At heavyweight I would pick a primed Ali. He's very hard to hit, he has a great chin, he is very accurate and very fast.

I think it's obvious I think the legend of Ali amounts to more than the actual man did, so I won't continue debating the subject, my views are clear there.

Hearns is a great pick at 154 - I agree. Pryor? I dunno, at 140? I think I'm going the Pea every single time.

True, but I also think guys like Norton and Frazier would always give him close fights.

My only argument with this is that at the era in which Ali fought, he was generally the tallest guy in the ring, as well as the sharpest.

Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Chuvalo were all big punchers - but they telegraphed like crazy.

Again, you're saying "Wlad Klitschko, #1 Heavyweight" which again - makes me think you're completely ****ing stupid, you've said "I can read" - but then go and contradict yourself again

I just said that this isn't about who is #1.

hardest hw to beat i think was riddick bowe. he was a huge dude that could fight inside and maul you, like a bigger ruiz. hell to watch but hard to beat.
at 168 rjj was best almost impossible to hit. at 160 marvi hagler, couldn't hurt him, he never got tired and was an awkward southpaw with power in both hands. at 154 paul williams is gonna be up there. he is like a bigger busier winky. at 175 michael moorer. never beat and a super fast south paw. at cruizer prime hollyfield. pernell whittiker at 140. at 147 srr. at 130 mayweather.

Riddick Bowe is underrated and it's true that he would give life and death to anyone. I'd still pick Lennox to beat him but he would give him trouble.

Hagler is a good choice too. Paul Williams? Maybe one day, and I don't understand your comparison to Winky? I'd still pick guys like Hearns and SRL to beat him. Michael Moorer was unbeaten at 175 but he didn't face the competition that Spinks did.

Frazier...did not telegraph badly at all. And by Manilla he had added a sneak right hand.

Regardless he was a volume puncher. The telegraphing he did do, didn't hurt him at all. It didn't matter that guys knew where his punches were coming form he still landed loads.
