Never have I seen a fighter criticized so much for the opponents he fights. The question I hardly see asked though is - Who should he fight? In lower weight classes you can make arguments that certain fighters are ducking other fighters, but who can you really say Wlad is ducking in the heavyweight division. I will be first to say that this is a down era and I'm not a huge fan of the way Wlad fights, but there is literally nobody he has ducked. If I thought he was ducking someone I'd be the first to say. Prove me wrong, who has Wlad ducked and who could he possibly fight next where the majority of boxing fans wouldn't consider it a "cherry picked opponent." I personally have no idea.
Pulev is #3 and Mando. I also believe Pulev beats almost anyone 'cept Wlad by using similar tactics to Wlads own. Just not as well. Oh, and I don't think Wlads ducked anyone, just folk seem to think he should fight every flavour of the month HW club level KO artist who comes along.
Thats a point. He hasn't ducked anyone. Just line them up in order, though put Fury at the head of the line...
Hopefully guys like Pulev or Jennings will actually take a fight with Wlad next and Wlad will not be forced to skim the bottom of the contender pile once again, naturally getting blamed for the top guys not wanting to face him. No reason Jennings can not take his shot. Evidently he sure had a lot to say about the Wlad/Povetkin fight on social media. It really does not matter. Povetkin is better than Pulev and Jennings anyway and Fury will get KO'd before ever getting a shot.

To be brutally honest, if we're just talking who has the best possible chance against Wlad right now, sadly it's probably Wilder just due to his power and size. If Wilder actually came right after Wlad, I'd say though he could easily be knocked out early himself, he would have a solid shot of making Wlad kiss the canvas first and winning. However, I severely doubt that match gets made because I doubt either team has the interest. So barring that, I'd like to see Wlad in there against Arreola. His brother obviously beat the crap out of him, but he had to work at a rate Wlad definitely won't be matching to do so, and obviously Vitali takes a much better shot than Wlad does. Arreola is limited but he is tough, hits hard, and does let his hands go when he's in range of his target. At the worst, I would bank on him forcing Wlad to put forth another shameful clinching show to pull out the win.
