Harold in a tough fight, close ud, his experience wins out over Roy's athleticism.

    Another vote for Johnson.

Wrong guy for Jones to leave his left hand dangling at his thigh with. And those long right hand lands aren't landing against Johnson either.

Decision bout all the way and I think a Tarver 3 type effort from Jones. Unable to land clean and unable to solve the guy early and gets countered. So he puts forth one of those happy to be here for the payday efforts and goes into an offensive shell and tries a few flashy flurries every round. But no real sustained concentrated effort and absolutely zero risks taken while coasting to a decision loss.

And Harold isn't exactly going to put things into 4th gear when he doesn't have to. But Harold is a tough nights work for lots of guys when you get down to it.

Johnson had a smoking lead right. Good point.

I can definitely see it playing out like this.

I think Harold Johnson is one of the most overlooked champs in history. I think he would be a really hard fight for Jones, and could beat him in a close decision.

I like Johnson even though Roy was one of the most super talented guys in recent years, Johnson was a master

This could be said to be blazing Speed Vs exquisite Timing or Extrovert Style vs understated Substance, The Contemporary Media Darling vs The Old Silver Screen Icon .. Over 15 rounds, i think i like "Öld Testament" Sage Harold to Map Roy and navigate his way to a close but clear points win, A lot of those old craftsman would not get too impressed with a bit of Flash and Dash, A Tussle with the Tassle would cut little ice.

Dang, that's well said. I'll take Harold like most here on a clear decision with the chance Jones speed lets him catch Harold perfectly ala Archie Moore.

:DVery good post. Conservative Johnson over "liberal" Jone...though I like Jones very much....the classical approach of Johnson wins this one.

Substance wins over style every time. Johnson by KO.
