I think Rex Layne is a bit undervalued but Johnson was a champ and a great fighter. I go with the great fighter and something tells me this one is not really close. Layne was a good straight-ahead brawler who could give fits to lots of guys, but Johnson a real boxer-puncher. It would be similar to Layne's fights with Charles when Charles didn't take his foot of the gas.
