I just watched the HBO coverage of rd 8 of Calzaghe Kessler again and I noticed that he disses Mike Ortega for "taking away Calzaghe's advantage" by warning him for "holding" in rd 8 when Kessler was in trouble (well sort of...). Now I know the man is blind! Everyone could see that Calzaghe was clubbing Kessler hard around the back of the head. He had already been warned twice before (at least) and had been doing it all night. He could have deducted a point from Calzaghe or even disqualified him, but instead he diplomatically just warns him and gives Kessler a break. That's as good af reffereeing gets. When are they going to DQ Lederman once and for all?
I have a problem with his daughter judging fights... Fights that are televised on HBO, it's a conflict of interest. Daughter of the "unofficial HBO judge" is an official judge herself...she should be barred from all HBO boxing events as an official.
Ive always thought Ledermans score cards were pretty on point... He's been judging and watching boxing long before alot of people on here has...Give the man some respect.
