Both put on a hell of a performance. The fact that both fighters are being put down (mostly Williams) for the effort that they both showed tonight is disgusting and pitiful. Both fighters should be applauded and not bashed at all.
I feel that man, I don't know what these ****ers want. Not one of them could have put on the performance that either man did last night. **** the haters that lost their bets, PW and Martinez both have my respect and gratitude:bbb
Yea I think Ledderman got it right this time.. The only round that was really hard for me to score was round 11 but the first 10 rounds and 12 wasn't that hard to score.. He was pretty much on point last night..
I had it 7-5 Williams and thought the rounds were pretty easy to score, with the exception of the 11th and one in the middle (6th?). And on that basis you could give the fight to Martinez, but anything from 7-5 Martinez to 7-5 Williams is completely fine. The 119-110 is a ****ing joke, of course, but this is a close decision not a bad one. And both guys were terrific and improved their stock. As fight fans, we should all be celebrating today.
First time i ever agreed with Harold has come! PW Won 115-113 The fight was really close but the rounds Paul Won, to me, arent really disputable
I had it the same as Lederman up until the final 2 rounds, which I thought Martinez won. But I'm not mad at the decision at all (except of course with Benoist's card... ugh). I think it was a VERY close fight which deserves a rematch. And props to Kellerman for calling Benoist out!!!!
I missed the fight live but saw it this morning. Based on the comments being left on this board I thought Martinez was going to put on some sort of masterclass performance. There were people saying this was the worst robbery of the year and how Martinez was landing all types of hard punches. While he did land some hard shots, Williams also landed hard shots throughout the fight as well and there was no masterclass. I thought the fight was competitive but I feel Williams edged it. Some of the posters were justifying a Martinez win by saying Paul looked worse after the fight and things like that. The problem with that is you score fight based on rounds not damage. You could get bruising all in one round or even one punch, that's not necessarily a proper indication of how the fight went. I could understand casual fans thinking this way, but so-called hardcore fans should know better than that. If you had Martinez winning okay, but come up with a legit argument.
