Haroon Khan: "Winning a medal not as important as beating a Brit"

This is my first post on the matter you tool. And read what I said! I never proclaimed Khan to be anything, I said don't rip out your jock straps when the Khans talk trash back, cos they have been getting it themselves from "British fans", so what goes around comes around.

With most fans of boxers on here you have to ask them usually who their favourite boxer is, or you know from their Avatar because they approach it with a sense of realism through an understanding of the sport.

The problem with many Khan fans like Lexar and Rainman is that they don't understand the sport enough, because they got into boxing soley through Khan. In their minds they have no doubt that Khan is the next Manny but better and the chin thing is all because he was weight drained... mainly because they believe everything they read and havn't gotten used to the fact that as a boxing fan these people come along every few years, get hype to the hilt to generate money and then fade into obscurity and everyone jumps to "I always knew he was ****, he was so overhyped"

 

Idiot i'm not even much of a Khan fan. Look at the topics I have started and posts I have made and see how little of it is to do with Khan.

Oh and guess what, I also used to write the main articles for Amir Khans Official Website. Fight reports, mini bios etc, I wrote them. I wrote fight reports for British Boxing.net and ESB and guarantee I know the sport a hell of a lot better than you.

You're some little fanboy who has said he will stop supporting the British Olympic squad because Haroon Khan didn't get picked for the Commonwealth Squad after he failed in the ABAs and missed out to Khalid Yafai who has proven merit.

Now, if you weren't insinuating that race was anything to do with it, what were you saying with your "I hope it's just down to not thinking he was good enough" and all the other thinly veiled comments?

"Their"? How are the comments of one boxer a reflection of the entite Boxing Squad? What has Khalid said about Khan? Nothing. What has Tom Stalker said about Khan? Nothing. What have the countless other fighters in the set up said about Khan? Nothing. So Selby came out with some crap and that justifies not supporting the entire team?

Even McCraken who is now being mocked by Haroon and Amir has not been dismissive of Haroon. He has explained why he was not picked ahead of those with proven credentials.

So let me clarify, you were not insinuating it was anything to do with race, but you were saying "I hope it's not down to race"?

Have you any idea how ridiculous that defence is? You write something along the lines of "I hope this isn't down to race" and yet think that is not insinuating race might be a motive...oh dear. "Insinuating" something is not directly stating something, but implying it through a suggestion or comment. So a prime example would be....oh I don't know something like "I hope race isn't the reason" to imply that someones race was a reason.

To even say you hope race wasn't an issue, shows that you have considered it might be, despite the fact that the lad picked over Khan was ****ing Khalid Yafai.

 

You can't reason with Lexar, it's pointless trying. I came to one of two conclusions, he's either that much of an obsessive Khan fan that everything he reads is distorted in some bias way, or that he is intellectually challenged and cannot understand what we are saying. I imagine both.
