He got a Commonwealth Bronze at fly representing P akistan in Delhi last October. I have not heard of his ambitions since. Presumably he would be thinking .of the paid ranks as a Commonwealth Bronze hardly bodes well for the Olympics
Wonder if he's gonna have a hard time of it when he turns pro. He won't be signing with Fwanky in a rush and Sky may not fancy backing him any time soon. Will he be destined to fight on Amir Khan PPV bills and small Hatton shows?
he's a dick and i hope gets knocked out, he lives off his brothers success, he was in the same team as a couple of guys from my club in an england vs canada(or bulgaria cant remember?) match up, he was telling everyone how he's gonna bring in the fans and that most people are coming to watch him and he's the most followed amateur in the world. he's also generally just cocky and an *******, which is a shame because a few people from my club knew him before his brother became a pro and say he used to be a decent kid. he will never be as good as amir.
hattons wont be working with Khan again. If he fights in the UK it will have to be Maloney the only promoter without burnt bridges with Khans.
Hayemaker don't have a big enough stable to put on an undercard that will be satisfactory. Haye aside, their only name fighter is Groves..... they'll want to make some money of their own from his fights rather than putting him on a co-promotion and essentially being paid a fee for their troubles. Even though Maloney has a large stable, not many of them are ''names'' as such - Munroe has of course gone, Booth will probably retire..... Price and Jeffries are pretty much parked up fighting bums for the forseeable I'm afraid. When the existing TV deals come up for renewal next year I wouldn't be surprised to see him either out in the cold or ordered to get some of these lads matched against each other - which will in turn reduce the availability of fighters for a Khan undercard. To be honest, I hope Sky pursue the ''TV dates by tender'' avenue and get some of Warren's fighters more coverage. He's got the best stable, the biggest names and they're all parked up too often for too long.
Why did he switch to '****stan'....? Did he have a genuine fall out with the ABA or was it just a case that it was easier to qualify for the Olympics that way?
Khalid Yafai was the fighter who qualified for the olympics at haroon's weight. harron wrote on his twitter not long ago about rob mccracken (olympic team coach) that he is a racist for not picking him and he will abuse him when he see's him. how is he racist when he picks an arab over a packistani? khalid is a great amateur.
They burnt their bridges with the British setup after he didn't get picked for the English team in the Commonwealths. Yafai was the original pick for that weight class as he's apparently the best in Europe, then he got injured and they picked the next guy. Then Amir Khan's dad came out and threw lots of **** at McCracken, calling him biased against the Khan's and racist. Unfortunately Khan then beat the English lad in the games and started firing off on Twatter.
