this IS a great money maker and boxing fans dream...

these type of fights NEED to happen repeatedly throughout the boxing world. TOP fighters SHOULD be fighting each other, NO Excuse, nor No Picking other opponents.

it is a shame Harrison has had quite a bit of set backs and interferences in his career, and he is defo past his best. But IF he is fit, healthy and a worthy ligit contender/opponent then "let the show begin"

this should be happening at every level throughout the whole Boxing scene... great HONEST fights create interest and make a sport - these kind of fights regularly can save boxing...

    Pac v Floyd
Haye v Klit, Fury (to rid us of him)
    khan v Brook

    and so on...

Are you seriously putting Harrison v Burns in the same category as Khan v Brook, or Haye vs Fury?

Burns has dropped down a level or 2,but he still beats Harrison everyday of the week an twice on Sundays. If Walsh could beat Harrison burns couldn't? Come on.

Walsh struggled with Harrison but he won. Walsh wanted NO part of burn at the time,it wouldn't be a 1st time from pulling out, plenty of history for that, very convenient was the 'car accident'

No but both are former World Champions from the same city and the fight is do-able.

Not often you can say that is it?

Especially for us here in Scotland.

Burns was in striking distance (though he did fall short) and Harrison might have been, though we never will know.

Their quality or level really doesn't matter to those who will be filling the arena.

To use a comparison, Rangers v celtic neither of those teams are 'world class' (and I say that even before Rangers became a massive victim of fraud) but does the event capture the attention of the Scottish public? You bet it does.

Having said that it's still an easy Ricky win for me.

my post was generic and I've already pointed out to someone else who didn't read it, - ALL LEVELS...

but in answer to your abrupt question, both Harrison & Burns were not only top fighters they certainly ARE a league above Fury!!!

Fury will never be a top fighter even if he maneuvers his way to a belt.

Same with Deontay Wilder and the rest.

I don't think any of the young heavyweights active today will ever be a p4p top fighter in the sport; whoever the belt holders are will just be the best of a very weak bunch in the post-K2 era.

If there is a Yes vote I'm not interested in overseas fights! All about the money,a much diminished Burns against a once great boxer who shouldn't really be in a ring. Not so much a sporting event as a freak show........I can't wait be watching avidly!

Surely you can't have thought he looked that bad against Walsh?

How's this happening with Burns saying he's going up in weight??

Either way, should it happen Ricky has too much for Scott.

He didn't look the fighter he was to me,more fragile. And I always worry when a boxer who has had a tough career has to box on for money.Hey but that's is only my opinion and I would have said he shouldn't be allowed to get in the ring with the Burns of two or three fights ago,bu t Ricky seems to have faded badly.
