IDK about a ND fight but in no way would it favor Greb, even if he got the newspaper decision it wouldn't have anything but a moral victory.
The reason Gibbons got the shot was cos he was a "HW", or perceived as one while Greb was perceived as a MW-LHW. Gibbons was an easier sell in Shelby, as was Firpo, Tunney and Sharkey, cos the perception was they were HW's people just didn't want to see a rehash of the Carpentier fight, with Dempsey fighting a smaller man.

For the first Greb fight Tunney was 2 days off of his 25th birthday with 41 fights under his belt that is a career to modern fighters.

For the second fight Tunney was 25 years old with 48 fights, he was also the reigning American Light Heavyweight Champion

For the third he had 51 fights and had fought the likes of:
    Levinsky
    Weinertx2
    Wiggins x2
    Loughran

You cannot get more absurd than to state such a fighter is ,
    " raw and inexperienced".

    Utterly ludicrous.:patsch

This fight was officially a No Decision. Referee Matt Hinkel said that if he had been permitted to give a decision, he would have declared the contest a draw.

    Houck has wins over:
    Chip
    Klaus
    McGoorty
    Smith
    Smith [Gunboat]
    Mantell
    Levinsky
    Dillon
    Papke

Wills fouled out to Sharkey because he was getting a pasting ,that is the consensus view.

Why do you keep saying Tunney had the edge in the fourth fight? In the fourth fight the majority of ringside sources thought Greb won. That's not a draw. That's a win for Greb.

Repeating something over and over doesn't make it so.

Show me where a majority believed Tunney got a draw much less had an edge in that fight.
