Greb, would not be an ATG if he turned pro in modern time with moderm rules. What say you?

Are saying this because Greb wouldn't have as many ATG on his record as he did fighting in his own time? Then maybe but I doubt it he would more than likely dominate everyone and we would have no choice but to call him great. At worst he might not be ranked as high though. Greb was a true beast and ATG no matter what era you'd want to place him in.

Why do you think that. Greb today would not have had 300 fights, wouldn't be fighting in 4 divisions, couldn't be in line for the HW crown. His style would be different instead of bouncing around and throwing arm punches today he might be a boxer or a swarmer. He wouldn't be able to be as dirty as he was. He wasn't a puncher then and wouldn't be one now. Let's forget what he done in the past, today he would have had at most 40-50 fights, fighting with 10oz gloves. Depending on his style that he would use today would either make him a spoiler type which means in todays world he would probably be a free agent, so he would be offered less fights. I would say he would be like today's Russian, Ukrainians and other former Eastern block countries. The only one making real good money is triple G, the next Kovalev. The reason both could pound you into the ground. But neither is a PPV fighter. Both have a promoter, Greb, I don't think would have a promoter but say he did, what then. A promoter would want somebody to pay for themselves and make it worth there while to promote. There is two fighting now that aren't big punchers, Lomenchenko and Evgeny Gradovich.
Gradovich was a swarmer but no real pop, had a good run for a while, Lomenchenko, the classier of the two, fights every once in awhile. Mainly cos they don't put a$$ in the seats, that's why they wont be able to have as many fights. I believe Greb would be the same. Greb today wouldn't be fighting in 4 divisions, he would have to conquer one and move up. The cruisers of today were the HW's of yesterday. But let's say Greb put on the weight which then would tend to decrease his main asset speed.
    That's my two cents worth

Yes, Greb the man, but in this era it would be a more difficult to achieve what he did, cos of the rules, he wouldn't have had no where near 300 fights, so naturally he wouldn't have the experience. Greb the man was an exceptional human being and an a great fighter, fighting today he would he would face tremendous handicaps. Andre Ward, is undefeated and a good fighter, cant seem to get good fights or any fights.
