Harry Greb is just an old glorified version of Joe Calzaghe.

Who had more fights. He never sat down on his punches, had no power. What do you think?

no one can truly say since no greb action footage exists (allegedely sp?).

that said greb has a far superior record. calzaghe shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as greb.

If he was so great and had so many great fights there would be film of him that I am certain.

Did he or did he not throw lots of pitty patter slaps to outpoint his opponent? He couldn't even punch properly, and none of you have seen him so how would you know how good he was?

This statement reminds me of the nitwit asking
Why can't they make the whole plane outta the black box?

If there is dodgy film of guys in the 1890's why would there not be in the 1920's? There's film of Les Darcy before that because his greatness was never in question.

How come there's no longer film of sugar ray robinson vs artie levine from the mid 1940s???
It was filmed. Now the films disintegrated. You have an enormous amount to learn about nitrate film stock.
Read this book and then return. I'll hold your place

Thats one fight. If Greb had so many fights and was as great as you all think than a high percentage of those fights would have been filmed. At least one fight would make it to today, but no only shadowboxing like a ******.

I'm not saying he wasn't a great fighter, just massively overated. To think he was better than Darcy is hilarious he would be lucky to last 4 rounds with Les.
