No. In a boxing match i would not be match for tunney.( In a free fight with mma rules maybe it is a different history). But i have no type of doubt about i would kick your ass "tough keyboard warrior".
Losers like you insult people when they have an opinion about certain fighter that you can't deal with

The footage doesn't really tell us anything one way or the other.

I am very confident that Gene Tunney or Tommy Gibbons would have crushed both of them!

The unavoidable conclusion from his resume, is that he might have been able to beat anybody, at either 160 or 175!

Greb is actually boxing quite well in the sparring footage compared to his contemparies. The old guy he's boxing looks bad but Greb is boxing quite well. He uses the jab efficently, stepping in with it. He feints. He also throws the overhand right hand well stepping into it. He jabs or uses the lead right to body. He clearly isn't going out, it's sparring.

No he doesn't. Loughran was an incredibly stiff one handed jab and grab merchant who carried his chin high and didn't employ head movement. John Ruiz was more skilled than Loughran

Walker was good at what he does, in terms of his footwork, head movement, he has a good overhand right and left hook. But he doesn't use a jab, he's very limited slugger and more sophisticated boxers should outbox him.

Gibbons didn't have a much of a jab and barely used it, prefering to throw lead left hooks. Didn't have much of a right hand. And he carried his hands low.

So Tunney was clearly the best but he does carry his hands very low and carry's his chin quite high.

Once you get to the first world war, there is not than much difference in the technique anyway.

Wow, this is so wrong... Do you know that having low guard doesn't mean that you are unskilled right?

Doesn't his resume change depending which newspaper account boxrec use. I'm sure he's had a few losses and draws turned to wins.

No it's not, it's true and it hurts your feelings. Otherwise make counter points. Really people are product of their time. It's only natural we evolve out skillsets as humans

A low guard is none textbook. A low guard means if you have a faster opponent or an opponent who has a high guard you'll usually get either outboxed or knocked out unless you have a very good reflex based defense.

Add guys like O'Dowd, M. Gibbons, Bartfield, Houck, Delaney, Slattery, Rosenbloom, Norfolk, Flowers, McTigue, Levinsky, Meehan, Miske ect.

    Easily the greatest résumé ever.

I don't have enough time now to make long posts with use of footage, because I am writting Engineering Thesis recently, but calling Ruiz more skilled than Loughran is ridiculous. Tommy had phenomenal footwork, his use of left hand was beautiful and he was really smart and good at avoiding punches. Who cares that he had low guard, how many times was he knocked out? How many times was he punched clean on chin? He created his own style for his strengths, he had problems with hands which limited his power, so he decided to box to his strengths. Loughran is one of the best pure boxers ever because of that. There is a lot of his fights available, watch some and tell me that he wasn't good.

Sure and that's why a lot of great boxers use low guard - because they have exceptional speed and reflex.
