Bases on what? Other than the fact that escalates Grebs ranking. I can't see either beating a Prime Baer or dropping a prime Louis.

 

And this is the thing, boxing is about styles, and styles make fights. Every boxer has their weaknesses and without viewing film of them it is hard to analysis how they match up

Thats his opinion, which is fine but it doesn't necessarily make it so. And you have to question his motives, allot of fighters play the 'man I beat is the best fighter ever' game to play themselves up. And wasn't Loughran Greb's friend?

If u wanna switch over to Sharkey and Mclarnin calling Harry the greatest they ever saw, please proceed. And Walker caught a hellva spanking from 30 something semi sightless Greb and held him in the same praze till his last days.

Christ, if I were a bookie, I'd grant 42 to 1 odds to any Greb jocksniffer who wants to bet on Harry to beat either "Dempsey or Louis" in a time machine...

My choice and guess would be that Dempsey and Louis have fun ripping Greb's head off and crapping down his throat before wasting the over-matched middleweight champion inside of 10 rds...

A tidbit- I, as a child used to hear Sam Taub, on my new little radio every Sunday afternoon. Sam Taub was the finest boxing announcer on radio for
many years. That Sunday he interviewed Maxie Rosenbloom,and Taub
asked Maxie this question that i remember vividly, lo these many years.
"Maxie, you had 300 bouts against the best fighters ever. Who was the best fighter you ever fought ?"..Rosenbloom without hesitation answered
" Harry Greb ". First time I ever heard the name of Harry Greb ! I was
very impressed, and asked my dad, who was Harry Greb ? My dad gushed
about Greb, and about the time my dad saw Greb beat the daylights out of Gene Tunney at MSG in 1922. My dad who saw all the greats after including a prime Ray Robinson [with me] ,always insisted no one he saw since then, would have beaten Greb @ equal or near weights...And so do I. For what it's worth !!!

122 fights in like 4 years is ****ing crazy but if u look at the comp it isnt that good. Good but not liek crazy he fought a couple guys with records like 0-1 2-5 6-9 1-3 etc.. and u think he can fight HW warrior

I think that he would have a shot at beating anybody under 210lbs to be honest.

We don't need to debate whether he could beat Genbe Tunney because he did. It is verry plausible that he could have beaten anybody between Tunney and Louis. Even against sombody like Dempsey or Louis you could never count him out.

 

Including Peak Frazier?
