15 rounds for the middleweight championship. 1970s gloves and rules. Both fighters will appear in the ring in color. I pick Greb here, on antiquarian grounds. I would welcome the forum's predictions on this matchup, provided that they agree with my own.
Can we not have them appear in grainy black and white please. Then see rounds 1,2,4,7,9,10,then jump to the winning round, followed by the winner walking over to the loser, then sharp crackling lines across the screen followed by a shot of the crowd and a toothless man smiling at the camera??
Making this a fight in grainy black and white would unfairly prejudice Reggie Johnson. Greb would be in his element. He trained for grainy black and white fights, and the rules were suited to his monochrome style. Technicolor is a fair compromise for both fighters.
Greb was Wilder level skill-wise. . Reggie Johnson outboxes Greb in a style of boxing that did not exist 100 years ago
No reasonable person can believe that Greb loses. And by reasonable people, I mean everyone who thinks Greb wins.
That's very sensible. Ordinarily, you'd need at least 6 months of prep sparring monochrome opponents on grainy film before you get the hang of it. Throwing Reggie right into it with no prep against Greb, who fought his entire career on grainy film, is just cruel.
