He hid being blind in one eye from everybody just so he could fight on. fought anybody regardless of race an this is the thanks a true fighter gets? Thats s shame honestly. Todays fighters fake injuries an don't even fight eachother. Are p4p "fighters" are in the ring twice a year at most

It's boxing writers and historians.. Few knew who Greb was 20 years ago until they started putting him on their Atg lists.

He was also a pretty boy and cared about his hair, also got (probably) a reconstructive surgery for his nose.

But we have Sexio Martinez now so we can't whine.

It's not as simple as that. Just because the general level of boxing has probably declined since the 80s doesn't mean that none of our guys could hang with their guys. Bernard Hopkins would most certainly stand with those other middleweights you listed. We also have Pacquiao, Mayweather, Marquez, Morales, and Barrera who only recently retired. The two Klitschkos will probably go down in the books like Larry Holmes as great but under challenged. Then if you go back a decade ago we still had Whitaker, Tyson, Holyfield, and Chavez; so the sport is never fully bereft of stars or fully stocked, and 2000-2005 was a great era for featherweights.

in 70 years, lets say all boxing film was abolished and i told you that timothy bradley went up in weight and fought one legged for most of the fight against one of the best p4p fighters of the era and won a decision whilst giving up almost all advantages, you'd be pretty impressed right?

    but wait...
