I'd heard alot about Harry Simon, yet had seen precious little of him, infact I hadnt seen him at all, all i knew him for was beating Winky Wright, when i thought Wright was unbeatable, the way he despached the British trio of Bingham, viking Foster and Dodson was something else. So I always wanted to see what all the fuss about, but i thought i'd missed out when nobody had any video's of the guy, and since he was banged up for vehicular manslaughter, i thought he'd be lost to the world.

Today, being a sick fck who enjoys seeing ppl ko'd brutally, I was searching for Wayne Alexander ko's, and i came across this nugget. I was a huge fan of Alexander, but hadn't seen this particular fight. His KO of Takaloo later on in his career, is a must see, and makes the Pacquaio-Hatton ko seem like a love tap.

The first round i'd give to Alexander, but after that watch Simon pick him apart masterfully, his combinations are wicked and fast, like Meldrick Taylor the way he puts them together, awesome bodypunching too, and great example of rolling with punches and giving 3-4 back.

If my memory serves me right did Alexander not take this fight at two weeks notice?

    It was something like that.

I've said it before but on 'the great's day he could have KO'd almost anyone. One of the p4p hardest punchers I've ever seen. Nice guy as well. Trains white collar fighters now in Purley I believe.
