Watched the fight live and it was very close, gave it to Wright by a round but Simon was working every minute and I had no problem with the draw as I recall. Simon would have been a handful at his best for most fighters but his career was cut short, for various reasons, not all of them good. Wright fought well in the fight and I thought a draw was a perfect result, shame about the scorecards and you have to think something strange went on. Have seen it happen a few times to be fair and not always in favour of the home fighter, so perhaps it was genuine although unlikely
I remember watching this fight live as well- long time ago. Simon won due to relentless work ethic. Simon was a real good fighter, pity about the car accident.
Just checked harry simon on boxrec, and he had a fight last year...? i thought he was still in jail? :huh
