Retired undefeated at 26 (19) including a WBO 154 few title defenced and winning the WBO 160 title. Beat Winky Wright just after Vasquez. Anyone know much bout him? What was his style like, why did he retire, what was his comp like etc
Wow, I can't believe he's still fighting. The guy's pretty ****ed up in the head. He was jailed for killing 3 people I think.
He's often brought up here, including once by me. He was in a car incident which people died and he got the blame. He was on track to be rather good, and has been blowing the comeback home for a while now. I doubt he's still got enough to reclaim any titles now, though.
It was an accident, i think. Ive only ever seen one of harry simons fights but he looks like he had very good ability and has some very good wins on his resume [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JggWwKlZ3wY[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSRLXqJweu0&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKhOkqgcwLM&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vdf-GkWUOc&feature=related[/ame]
yeah he got the book thrown at him picked up and rethrown at him. a part in maibian politics where he was made an example. also it was tourists which is one of namibia's few solid incomes. was drunk and was on top of the world on a narrow road. and should of been punished. 5 years for manslaughter while being drunk at the wheel and 3 people as well. some could even say lenient. ANYWAYS...very strong good fighter, not very technical but knew what he wanted to do . his fight with winky is a pretty good display from both.
Yeah, I have a bootleg copy of it. Decent fight. Winky was so much more well rounded offensively back then.
That is true. Soon after his victory over Krancj, he was touted as the next opponent for Trinidad. But he was involved in a car accident.
He did a tv docu and 10 minutes later he was overtaking on the wrong side of the road and killed some euro tourists. Good fighter , but always in trouble.
