I can't imagine anyone saying greb would be "afraid" to fight ANYONE, but on here you never know. I think Wills was maybe a bit too big and talented for Greb. He beat the Gunboat Smiths of the world but Wills may have the ability to get away from the windmill style of Greb or maybe was strong enough to grab and hold him. People expect a bit too much out of Greb...there had to be an upper limit to what he could do. Wills might have been that limit.
Smith was totally washed up when both Wills and Greb fought him ,he said he only took the Wills fight for the boat ride.I'd expect Wills to beat the prime version anyway and Greb would very probably outspeed GunBoat. Gonna make another Greb thread.
I suspect Wills would be a stylistic nightmare for anyone that small, especially if they're not a freakish puncher This match up is an interesting one that hasn't been talked about, and my thread got hardly any responses, so honestly I don't mind someone making another, but for future reference search on Google followed by site:boxingforum24.com To look for previous ones.
I like Wills in this fight just too much size and strength to overcome.....Wills was no dummy he would use it to overpower Greb but there is always the chance he would still lose on points as reports make Greb sound tireless. This like the Dempsey-Greb proposed fight is a lose lose for the big man and fearless Greb knows he has nothing to lose and everything to gain further giving him a sense of purpose.
Greb was described by,I think Loughran as "having extraordinary powers of endurance,he started off fast and got faster".
